Kimberling City Area Recycle Center

8:00 am to 11:00 am Saturday

Located just off Fire Station Road near the intersection of Highway 13 and Joe Bald/James River Road, adjacent to the Public Works Building. This project is staffed by volunteers. Contact City Hall for more information at 739-4903.

Volunteers are ALWAYS welcome.  For Volunteer opportunities, call Recycle Coordinator at 739-1874

Items accepted for recycling:

  • newspapers/newspaper inserts (clean & dry)
  • junk mail/envelopes (cellophane windows okay)
  • magazines/catalogs/calendars-w/o spiral binder
  • books (hardback & paperback; remove all plastic)
  • shredded paper
  • telephone books
  • paper cartons (egg/berry/fruit; clean; no styrofoam)
  • corrugated cardboard (flattened/ no metal staples)
  • bottle plastic #1 thru #7 (okay to leave lids on)
  • tub plastics #1 thru #7 (yogurt/margarine/coffee; NO LIDS
  • aluminum Cans (Please separate for charitable groups)
  • tin & steel cans (labels okay/ can mix with plastic)
  • pasteboard (cardboard)Flattened cereal, beverage, pasta boxes, etc.)
  • brown paper bags/wrapping paper
  • feed or seed bags with rip strings (no feed/seed residue)
  • office/school paper (no plastic/metal; office staples okay)

We do NOT accept the following:

  • Glass (Springfield recycles)
  • Aerosol cans
  • Aluminum foil.
  • Batteries
  • Clear plastic food containers (Springfield recycles)
  • Styrofoam in any form (i.e., egg cartons)
  • Frozen food microwave dishes (Springfield recycles)
  • Plastic trash bags/plastic sacks/plastic lined bags
  • Diapers/tissue/toiletries/foil lined paper
  • Juice boxes/bags/cartons (nothing wax/plastic coated)
  • Food tainted items (napkins/paper towels/pizza boxes)
  • Frozen food/ice cream/milk/soymilk cartons
  • Pet food bags/original blue prints/thermal fax paper
  • Food waste & garbage
  • Plastic toys/furniture
  • Yard waste

  • NO cardboard with wax coating
  • NO food contamination, plastic packing, waxed cartons
  • NO light bulbs, ovenware, pane glass or ceramics
  • NO plastic bags, flower pots, motor oil, solvent, paint or pesticide containers.
  • NO foil containers or aluminum foil
